Replacement Set5
Discovered my set to be broken after the exit of a disgruntled roommate. These were a steal for the price. Thinking this might be a great Christmas gift. These are the jumbos, too! A whole lot can fit in these glasses!

Decent glasses for the $$$4
These are decent glasses for the money. When I first received them, I thought they were a bit thin and might break easily, but they have held up very well. After about 6 weeks of use, I still have 6, so they are not that thin. :-) I hang them with my wine glasses, and they get hit when I put the other glasses away, but they have neither chipped nor broken, even when hit hard enough to ring pretty well. I would buy them again.

Update 3/22/2009: These have held up very well. None of them have broken, which is amazing to me.

Best Glasses Ever!5
These are THE best glasses I've ever owned! I recently gave them away to my sister when she went off to college and upgraded to a new set of fancier glasses that were a disappointment. I've finally replaced them and now all is right with the world. If you purchase these you wont be disappointed.

Great Commercial Quality Glasses - Watch the Price! (read)5
These are extremely durable glasses as others have already noted. They are heavy and thick. If you were to drop one on the floor, your first concerns would be about your tile and getting your feet out of the way, rather than worrying about the glass. As for the dishwasher, these can be a problem with older machines. They are tall and have a slightly larger diameter rim than other tumblers with similar capacities. This is partially because of the size, but mostly because of the VERY heavy duty construction.

Pricing: These, and other genuine Libbey glasses, are almost always available at dollar stores. We have purchased several in this style with different sizes; most are this size. Regardless, they are there, and they are inexpensive. Be sure to look for the cursive "L" on the bottom or "Libbey". They sometimes have similar glasses that scratch easily, are far less clear, and generally do not hold up as well.

Our glasses still look exceptional after many years of use. We also get people asking where we got them and commenting on how "industrial" they are. If your local dollar store does not have these, they are still well worth the price, especially with free shipping.

Gibralter Glasses ROCK!!!5
What a GREAT glass!! This is a great heavy duty glass that's not too easy to tip over. The rib design allows for easy handling. I've replaced ALL of my glasses to this type. They are simple and beautiful4
I just purchased these glasses and really love them. They are surprisingly elegant in their simplicity. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they are very light. I bought an additional set of 4 because I am worried they will break easily. Also, check out the stemless champagne glasses from the same maker. FABULOUS!!

best glassware out there5
I have boughten the glassware of this exact set and we've had it for quite some time. These are prolly the best glassware we've used. Regulary glassware if they fell they would most likely break, and in the dishwasher glasses would chip. NOT THESE!!! Of course if you drop them enough they will break, but we've had none break yet and its been a couple years, and we are clumpsy. They are very sturdy. they have a unique design. Heavy.

These are lovely5
Very easy to hold on to and they've done well in the dishwasher after several weeks. (Some glasses tend to get a milky look as they age, but these come out sparkly, so far.) Would definitely purchase again.

Funky, interesting, nice!5
I needed to get some new glasses, as all of my old ones have broken recently. I thought these looked interesting, so I decided to the try them. I can't vouch for their strength, as I've only been using them about 2 months, but we haven't broken any yet. The glass is NOT flimsy. They're sturdy with some weight to them - the bottom is quite thick. The top (the rim) of the glass is round, although the base is irregularly shaped. It was hard to tell from the photo, but the glass is twisted and dented and unusual all the way up the glass - very interesting! Overall these glasses are refreshing and unique and I'm quite glad I purchased them.

A little thinner than I imagined3
This was an inexpensive replacement for some similar glasses we had gotten from a more expensive mail-order catalog. The size and feel are right, but they are a bit thinner than the ones we replaced.

Nice glasses, one cracked within a couple of weeks4
These are nice glasses that seem thick and sturdy but one cracked within a week. Have had them for over four months now and all others are fine. These do not have the offical pint emblem on them if that's important to you. But you can drink beer from them just the same....

Quality5
These are very nice. Smoother to the feel than most glassware, also slightly ticker. They clean very nicely, without streaking or marking that can sometimes occur with lesser-quality glassware. They can be stored upsidedown, and stacked on top of each other that way, which is nice. When stacked up to 3 or 4 high, they are sufficiently stable. The capacity is nice, and the "bump" is not only a style feature but also user-friendly, because you can grip right below the "bump" which makes a glass very easy to hold (not that holding a glass is difficult, but you'll see what I mean).
