Replacement Set5
Discovered my set to be broken after the exit of a disgruntled roommate. These were a steal for the price. Thinking this might be a great Christmas gift. These are the jumbos, too! A whole lot can fit in these glasses!

Decent glasses for the $$$4
These are decent glasses for the money. When I first received them, I thought they were a bit thin and might break easily, but they have held up very well. After about 6 weeks of use, I still have 6, so they are not that thin. :-) I hang them with my wine glasses, and they get hit when I put the other glasses away, but they have neither chipped nor broken, even when hit hard enough to ring pretty well. I would buy them again.

Update 3/22/2009: These have held up very well. None of them have broken, which is amazing to me.

Great Margarita Glasses5
Well made, nice weight, perfectly shaped - these glasses are an excellent value. Had folks asking about the margaritas and the glasses. Pretty good after a couple of my margaritas.

Best Glasses Ever!5
These are THE best glasses I've ever owned! I recently gave them away to my sister when she went off to college and upgraded to a new set of fancier glasses that were a disappointment. I've finally replaced them and now all is right with the world. If you purchase these you wont be disappointed.

Great Commercial Quality Glasses - Watch the Price! (read)5
These are extremely durable glasses as others have already noted. They are heavy and thick. If you were to drop one on the floor, your first concerns would be about your tile and getting your feet out of the way, rather than worrying about the glass. As for the dishwasher, these can be a problem with older machines. They are tall and have a slightly larger diameter rim than other tumblers with similar capacities. This is partially because of the size, but mostly because of the VERY heavy duty construction.

Pricing: These, and other genuine Libbey glasses, are almost always available at dollar stores. We have purchased several in this style with different sizes; most are this size. Regardless, they are there, and they are inexpensive. Be sure to look for the cursive "L" on the bottom or "Libbey". They sometimes have similar glasses that scratch easily, are far less clear, and generally do not hold up as well.

Our glasses still look exceptional after many years of use. We also get people asking where we got them and commenting on how "industrial" they are. If your local dollar store does not have these, they are still well worth the price, especially with free shipping.

Gibralter Glasses ROCK!!!5
What a GREAT glass!! This is a great heavy duty glass that's not too easy to tip over. The rib design allows for easy handling. I've replaced ALL of my glasses to this type. Looks great for everyday or formal dinner parties. Very satisfied!! I read the reviews on these glasses to make sure I was getting a very durable product. Thanks.

They are simple and beautiful4
I just purchased these glasses and really love them. They are surprisingly elegant in their simplicity. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they are very light. I bought an additional set of 4 because I am worried they will break easily. Also, check out the stemless champagne glasses from the same maker. FABULOUS!!

Excellent Quality 5
Excellent quality, fashionable to, we love the ones we have. Best part is they are not like stem glasses that we break all the time around our house.

Who Needs Reidel?5
Sorry to all the wine snobs out there, but these glasses are wonderful and wines taste as good in them as if they were served in the outrageously expensive Reidels! Methinks the emperor is indeed naked!

Perfect5
I love these glasses! They were packed very well and are the perfect shape and size for lovely martinis. They are a little deeper than your average martini glass and therefore you (might) will not slosh your drink all over yourself everytime you pick the glass up to take a drink. (or is it only me who has this problem?)

Classic Design and Sturdy5
These are great glasses. The design is classic, clean, and unfettered. The glasses are sturdy, and they all arrived intact with a decent packing job. The price is reasonable, and they are manufactured in the USA (how rare is that!). I bought several different styles of glasses all from the Libbey Vina series (martini, red wine, white wine, champagne flutes, tall and short tumblers with a thick base), and I am very happy with all of them.

Libbey martini glasses5
Beautiful martini glasses - thin but sturdy glass, large and elegant. I purchased 24 (four boxes of six each) for a dinner party and they arrived without any damage. I used them for the first time yesterday, and it felt as if I were drinking from a much more expensive glass.

The best route from point A to point B isn't always a straight line. This set of 16 Swerve glasses proves it with zany shapes that pay no heed to conventional form but are sure to bring appreciative smiles. Featuring curved sides that swing dramatically to one side, they strike animated poses as if ready to break into a dance or happy wiggle. Yet with a stable base and level rim, they are also remarkably balanced and easy to handle.

Perfect for a bar or not-so-serious table décor, the set includes eight tall tumbler glasses that stand 6-1/4 inches high and eight short old-fashioned glasses that stand 4 inches high. Fun basic glassware4
I ordered these glasses to have extra for a party. Fun shape drew compliments. I now shuffled them in to use as my everyday glasses (all matching!), but I do have concerns with cleaning the larger glass. With no dishwasher, I handwash everything and I find it hard to reach down into the recesses at the base of the tall curved glass. The smaller one is fine--my hand reaches.

Great set of glasses!5
Sturdy design and a nifty looking shape. It was a really good deal for such a low price.

Really nice glasses, and even better customer service5
Hi... I purchased a set of these glasses, and they arrived quickly, but broken. After using amazon.com's return procedure, the vendor notified me that they would send me another set, no charge. I got the second set, all intact, just as fast. I got exactly what I wanted, and I'm glad to give the vendor a really good review. Thanks!

Amazon.com Review
Ideal for stylish entertaining, this set of 16 matching glasses equips a bar to serve many cold drinks, from Scotch on the rocks to mint juleps. The set consists of eight tall, 18-ounce cooler glasses and eight short, 13-ounce double old-fashioned glasses in Libbey's contemporary Imperial pattern. Made of medium-thick glass, the glasses have slender, raised flutings that rise from the four corners of the bases. The 6-3/4-inch cooler glasses measure 2-7/8 inches in diameter at the tops, flare in the middle, and taper slightly to 2-1/8 inches square at the bottoms. The 2-5/8-inch double old-fashioned glasses measure 3-1/2 inches in diameter at the tops, also flare in the middle, and taper slightly to 2-3/4 inches square at the bottoms. The glasses are durable and dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Too fragile5
I bought this beverage set through Amazon's Gold Box. My original review was premature. After getting the glasses, I thought they were nice. But a couple years later, we have maybe two or three of the original set still standing. A couple we broke due to clumsiness, but the rest broke too easily, in the dishwasher or on minor contact. The glasses are thick at the bottom but thin enough at the top that they'll break easily. I must disqualify my original review. The review edit feature isn't letting me change the star rating, but I'd drop it to two stars if it would let me.

Amazon.com Review
Libbey's Impressions glasses have definite drink appeal. Let's start with their girth. The glasses have ample openings, so ice snuggles down nicely to provide lots of chilling surface for drinks. When it's time to give them a wash, a hand, sponge, or dishtowel fits easily, which is important when you want to present sparkling clean glassware to your guests; the glasses also do well in the dishwasher. Their heavy bottoms have a nice heft so they won't tip easily and give the impression that they were handblown. Four rounded depressions just above the base fit fingertips and make these glasses comfortable to hold. The two sizes in this dandy set accommodate just about any liquid out there: you can offer lucky guests everything from highballs to lemonade to bloody marys. This is the ideal glassware set for a bride and groom. --C. Whitney-Ward

GLASSES OUTLAST THE CLAN
I have purchased these glasses before. They are really tough and great for a family that is not always careful glasses. Yes this is great for everyday. I bought these and added to my "older" ones. They with stood the family so I purchased them again. They are not only very good but also classy, pretty glasses you can use any time. But is great they can last for every day and your table is set prettily. Oh yes, the men like the feel in their hand. Women notice these things but not always men. Easy to grip.

Thanks a lot Libbey!

Awesome glasses!
They are the best! They don't leave a puddle of water when turned over in the dishwasher, they are very durable, very attractive, and I highly recommend them! They were delivered fast and packaged very well.

Very Good Purchase
Buy them because they are very good. Nice to handle and resist heavy usage.

Sturdy, attractive & safer alternative to plastic!
We love these glasses, they are perfect for families who want to avoid using chemical leaching plastics in their homes. These glasses are sturdy enough to be used by children & they hold just the right amount for little hands. They arrived double packaged & intact - on top of that, they are attractive & nice for everyday.

Bill from Maine
These are just regular juice glasses and are fine. Actually, 7 oz juice glasses I found rather hard to find anywhere. These are just what we were looking for.

great product great price!
We seem to break glasses in my house- so I wanted something extra strong. These glasses are extra thick and the price was right! I love them!

Heavyweight Barware
This is a great set of barware. It is difficult to find low priced yet heavy weight everyday use barware for daily family use. What I like is that it has a substantial feel to it, three sizes, and there is plenty of it- 30 pcs. With a house full of tile counter tops and floors, and teens who are not careful, this stuff has been great- normally glasses don't last long around here, but this stuff seems to hold up pretty well to abuse. I found my 30 pc. set for 16$ at a Grocery Outlet- such a deal.

Sturdy Bar Like Glassware
I gave these to my daughter for a Christmas gift. I did some research and read several reviews and chose this 30 piece Tumbler Set by Libbey. They are not the most stylish glasses on the market but they are sturdy and functional and having a complete set of 30 glasses allowed her to replace her entire set at once which was exactly what she wanted to do...

Libbey Vina Stemless 16.5 Ounce Red Wine Glasses, Set of 4

Product Description

Stemless wine glasses are soaring in popularity. Libbey worked with designers to create a wine glass that best intensified the aroma and flavor of wine, while being affordable. This red wine stemless glass features a 16 3/4 ounce capacity.

Customer Reviews

Favorite wine glass.
OK. I have high dollar glasses of all sizes. I am a bit of a wine drinker with about 400 bottles cellered. I got these for by the spa thinking cheap and what the heck if one breaks. I now grab these at home and they have been my favorite glasses. Highly recommend.

pretty glasses, multi purpose
i love high end glass ware...with that said, i had enough of breaking my 15 dollar a piece thin glass stemless wine glasses...not to mention the trip by Bosch to fix the dishwasher which got clogged because i was too lazy to do the thin glass by hand, which proceeded to break, and then clog the sensitive bosch motor....

these are great...they are not too thick...but they are very sturdy...totally awesome for everyday use with a multitude of beverages, not just wine...gorgeous reflective surface and just the right size...not too big, not too small..

i got the "white wine" set too...am retiring my fancy high end glassware...just too much of a headache.

Simple, cheap, and unremarkable
There isn't much to say about this product. The set is 10 bucks, so the price is right. The glasses are light and delicate like wine glasses should be, but not to the point that you feel they're going to break easily. They can handle some slight mishandling, but don't expect amazing durability. For the price, I don't think you can beat this set if you're looking for stemless red wine glasses. However, I will say that they aren't the most eye-catching pieces of glassware in the world. They're very simple and designed with function in mind. I think I'm also going to get a set of traditional stemmed wine glasses, simply because I'm sometimes in the mood to drink wine in something a little more visually interesting. For what they are, though, you can't go wrong here.

The bottom line:
- Simple, functional, quality glassware at a great price.

Drinking glasses
I love these glasses. Not only do they look great the 14 ounce is the perfect size for any beverage. They are durable enough for the dishwasher and for the little hands in our family. I am very happy with this style of glass.

Very nice solid set of beverage glasses
I was lucky enough to find the 22 oz. glasses for .96 cents each, and they are very durable heavy glasses that will not break in the dish washer.
I bought the 14 ounce and 16 ounce glasses here at Amazon and they make a great set that I expect to get years of use from.
This set is a nice looking everyday set of glasses, but you might want something a little more elegant for formal dinning.
If there is something I don't like about them it would be that the 14 ounce glass is somewhat short, and it would have been nice if they where an inch or so taller. Other wise I think these are a very practical set that look nice and will last for years.

Nice & Simple

I bought these glasses because they were inexpensive, while still appearing to be of good quality. A few years back, I bought an expensive set of 16 glasses at Pier One, and almost all of them are now broken because the glass was so thin. I know I'm jinxing myself, but so far, I've had this set for about 6 months and none have broken. They may not have the style of the expensive glasses, but they are much nicer quality, and WAY more affordable. I highly recommend these!

Lots of Compliments
I bought a set of these at Target last year and have received lots and lots of compliments on them! They're not only interesting to look at, but they're comfortable to use. The bottom is thick and sturdy. I have broken a few of them, but likely because I sent them flying. You can safely knock these over a few times before you lose one. Nice glassware set.

inexpensive , but look great
i love the flat bottom, as water doesn't collect in the dishwasher. they are slim, so they fit easily in the rack too. a great value, that looks great. 2 of the glasses were broken upon receipt. they were replaced right awy and no expense to return the broken ones!

Unique Glasses
These are very heavy feeling, nice looking glasses. Best of all since they are shipped by Amazon they are also elgible for free shipping (no filler for you Prime members).

One issue with these, if you normally stack your smaller glasses to save space, these you can't do it with.
